Established in the year 1997, the department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) started its undergraduate program leading to B. Tech degree of JNT University with an intake of 60 students.

  •  The department is responsible for the academic activities, which include Teaching, Research and Industrial Consultancy.
  •  B.Tech Program was accredited for a period 3 years by NBA in 2003 and was re-accredited for a period of 3 more years in 2007.
  •  The department of ECE is equipped with latest state of art facilities for imparting quality education. It has a mix of experienced, dynamic and highly qualified senior faculty  
     from industries, R & D and academia. All laboratories are well equipped and established with advanced equipments procured under TEQIP (World Bank’s scheme).
  •  The department has advanced laboratories like VLSI design, DSP, Embedded Systems, and Advanced Communication etc to give practical training to the students on
     emerging areas.
  •  The department is equipped with the latest experimental and computational facilities for taking up R & D and consultancy activities in various fields. The department is also
     having R & D and consultancy projects. The department digital library is having a rich collection of Journals and on-line courseware material of various reputed universities in
     India
    and abroad.
  •  The academic atmosphere of the department is a rare blend of modern day technical skills and the traditional emphasis on imparting knowledge. The faculty as well as the 
     students who have qualified from the department have always brought laurels to the department as well as the institute through their outstanding achievements and
     leadership qualities.

 Goals of the Department

 Long-Term Goals:

  • To forge strong alliances with National and International Organizations for Academic, Industrial and R & D activities in thrust areas of E.C.E.

 Short Term Goals:

 To establish centers of excellence by starting design facilities for Embedded Systems and VLSI design

  • To establish active Industry-Departmental interactive programs for students & faculty for training & projects.
  •  To achieve 100% employability of students.
  • To become a deemed university
 Salient features of the ECE department are:

  • The Department has organized several refresher courses for the benefit of its own faculty has well as for faculty from outside colleges.
  • The Department offers a training program on Embedded Systems to the graduate trainees of BARC (NFC) on a regular basis.
  • The Department has a team of experienced, dynamic and highly qualified staff.
  • The department has well equipped laboratories for VLSI design, Digital Signal Processing and Embedded Systems.
  • The Department has advanced simulation and implementation software like MATLAB, HDL, CCS,CDMA/GSM simulation, etc.
  • The Department has a good number of R&D and consultancy projects.
  • The Departmental digital library is having rich collection of journals and on-line courseware of various reputed universities in India and Abroad

 The department is offering Bachelor’s Degree (B.Tech) program in Electronics and Communication Engineering with an intake of 120 students.
