There are Three Computer Laboratories in the department. They have 70 systems in each loboratory . The computer centers are well organised because of dedicated and competent teaching and non-teaching staff.
Faculty
Currently the department has the following 30 dedicated and committed staff catering to the existing teaching requirements. The staff is being augmented as per requirements from time to time.

A senior system administrator and 7 programmers ably support practical instruction by maintaining the Computer systems effectively and conducting the laboratory classes systematically. The laboratory manuals, which are carefully prepared, are proving to be of great help to the students.

Laboratory Manuals
Laboratory Manuals are made available to the students of various practical classes in Programming in C, Data Base Management Systems, Language Processors, C++ Programming Languages and Operating Systems.
Academic Performance of IT Students
The performance of IT students has been excellent in the last 8 years. An Aggregate of 95% of the first batch students graduated in the year 2001. Many of them are abroad for their Master's Programme.
Co-Curricular Activities
i) Students are encouraged to participate in technical paper contests conducted by various colleges which were open to all Engineering colleges in India.
ii) Technical Association of the students has been constituted in the college and the office bearers are nominated based on merit.
iii) Seminars and special lectures are organized regularly for improving the communication skills of the students.

- Accredited by Natioal Board of Accreditation (NBA) of All India Council of Technical Education Aicte for 3 years in May , 2003.
- Department handles various Computer Science course for the departemnts of Information Technology and ECM.
- Alumni of the Department have made a mark in India and abord and are working in reputed multinational companies, such as Infosys, Satyam, Sierra Atlantic, TCS, and Cognizant Technolgoy Services, etc.
- Accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) for 3 years for the second term in May, 2007.

- IT Department conduted JNTU Online Exams for all B.Tech programs from 2005 to 2008.
