THE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES:
The School of Management Studies has been established in the year 2006. SMS has been always making an attempt to be at the cutting edge of innovation in Management Education. It is a simple value-driven, tradition respecting B-school and believes in honest, transparent organizational approach. Its main objective is to build a continuous Learning Organization. In pedagogy, there is a fine mix of lectures, case studies, field exercises, and group assignments culminating into integrated teaching – learning phenomenon. It has committed, excellent faculty which is one of the core competence of the Institution. School of Management has 10 Faculty members, three of them are with Doctorate Degree and the others are pursuing Ph.D., some of them are at a very advanced stage of submission. In addition to this many senior most managers of reputed companies like Cognizant Technologies Ltd, TCS, and Deloitte are pursuing Ph.D. under the able guidance of our faculty.
School of Management Studies organized National Level Seminars on Strategic Planning, Organizational Behavior, and Marketing etc. School of Management has been rigorously engaged in Research and Developmental activities in all the Functional areas of Management. We are happy to inform that it has 65 research publications in various categories. They include 1research paper in an international Journal, 42 papers in National journal, 6 research papers in International conferences, 12 papers in National conferences and 4 Book Publications.
Faculty :
The faculty in the School of Management Studies includes eminent academics and intellectuals with business and industry experience. The Director, Dr. Y. Satyanarayana, was a Fulbright Post Doctoral Fellow at Harvard Business School, MIT and Kellog. He was ONGC Chair Professor at Administrative Staff College of India, Director Central Institute of Road Transport, Pune and Executive Director, Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation.
